  • July of 1948, Reverend C.L. Moellman, Missionary at Large is commissioned to start a congregation in the south Grand Rapids area. January 1949, the first Lutheran service was held in the living room of the parsonage-chapel, at 4023 S. Division Ave.

  • August of 1949, The land at 150 50th Street is purchased. On November 25, 1951, the chapel was dedicated to the Glory of God with Reverend Moellman serving as the first Pastor.

  • The years of 1960 to 1963 saw the construction of a new sanctuary. On November 10, 1063, the new sanctuary is dedicated to the Glory of God by His Grace.

  • 1984, Grace dedicated a new nine room education building addition.

  • 1991 a fellowship hall was added for additional classroom and activity space.

  • September of 1996 Grace Beginnings Preschool opens.

  • 2011 the original church building was removed for additional parking.
